History of the Old Brick Press Cannery:

This building was built by Mah Yick using the last of the output from the Armstrong brickyard; this building was erected in 1922. Lee Bak Bong and his family operated a wholesale vegetable operation called “Wing Quong & Co” named after the two eldest sons. After it’s closure the building remained vacant for nearly 30 years before it’s demolition in 2013. These 100 year old bricks from Wing Quong & Co were repurposed and used in the construction of the Davison Orchards Cannery you stand in today.
