The end of our 2020 season has come. What a roller coaster ride it has been with ups and downs on every corner! Sometimes I felt like we were going to crash and other times I felt like we were on the top of the world enjoying the view, with life carrying on below us. I know one thing for sure: there was too much motion, or  should I say emotion, or better yet, commotion for my liking this year. Life happens though, and so much is simply out of our control. 2020 was one of those years.

All
year I have been telling my kids: “Don’t stop thinking for yourself. Don’t let fear cloud your judgment. Try to reason things through. Be reasonable and be respectful. God is still in control; He always has been, and always will be!” As I’m telling these things to my kids, I’m constantly reminding myself as well. I know these things are easy to say, but sometimes harder to follow through on in real-time, in real life.
I wanted to let all of you, our faithful newsletter subscribers, know that you have made a HUGE difference in our lives. We have received many encouraging notes, had conversations with you at the farm, and been supported by you in a variety of ways, including your visits to our farm. The harvest is complete, the crops have been enjoyed, it's now time for a bit of a rest.
Tom and I are excited to welcome our 10th grandchild into the world in the next week or so! Lance and Rachel are expecting their 5th child in early November.

They have also bought some property located kitty-corner to the main farm, directly above our house on Davison Road. We look forward to developing it together over the next ten years, expanding our acreage for crops and our infrastructure for better efficiencies. There are more changes to come at the Country Village as well. We will keep you posted as our plans come together.

Thank you for your continued support and taking the time to read our newsletters and updates from the farm. Have a good winter, be safe, and know your support is sincerely appreciated.

Tamra,
