Lately, I have been feeling a little bit discouraged at the bad reputation that the year 2020 is getting. I know that it has been a difficult year across the globe and that everyone has had to make many adjustments in their lives. But I really do believe that if we make an effort to focus on what we have to be thankful for, rather than the difficulties in our lives, we will be healthier and happier.
With that in mind, I have asked a few of our staff to share what they have been thankful for this year. As usual, they been working incredibly hard, and this year they have had to be even more resilient, rolling with the continual changes and challenges. Here’s what they have to say:

Barb (Fudge Maker) – “I’m thankful for the sunny, beautiful fall weather. It is so uplifting!”
Betti (Cannery Manager) – “I’m thankful for my strong, uncomplicated family relationships.”
Christine (Cafe Staff) – “I am thankful for my job and the Davison family. It is encouraging to work at a place where the people care about me and my family.”
Callum (Marketing) – “I am grateful that God gave us our senses – that we get to enjoy the smells around us and the taste of good food.”
Suzie (Market Staff) – “I’m thankful for everything!! I’m especially enjoying the prolonged sunny, warm weather.”
David (Greeter) – “I am thankful for my wife and family.”
Holly (Bakery Staff) – “All of the fresh produce and the abundance of food around us is something I am thankful for.”

Talking with these people about what they are thankful for has been encouraging to me! As I reflect on my own life, I find myself thankful for my God who gives me hope and peace, for my husband and my children. I am also thankful that we have been able to have our farm open to you again this year. Watching you making special memories with your friends and family is a real privilege for us, and we look forward to another wonderful Thanksgiving weekend!

Happy Thanksgiving to each of you,
Rachel Davison, for the family
