The Countdown

Brilliant fall leaves, crisp mornings and orange pumpkins all point to the fact that it’s the middle of October! I don’t know about you, but I’ve been enjoying squash, pumpkins and fresh apples like the autumn season calls for. What a joy it is have to such distinct seasons in our part of the world, for with each season comes a change in routine and priorities that I always find refreshing. Admittedly, lately I’ve even been appreciating the dark evenings and the sense of rest and quiet that comes with the sun going down early.
It’s official: harvest has come to an end on the farm once again, with another seasons produce picked, packed and transformed into a myriad of treats. Deep Dish Apple Pie, fresh apple juice and spiced apple cider, not to mention caramel dipped apples, are just a sampling of the delicacies. It’s astonishing how quickly a year’s worth of work can be consumed! But we are grateful for the harvest, as well as for the hungry tummies that have made the trip to the orchard to enjoy the experience of fall. From fun in the pumpkin patch, to crisp fresh apples, to mouth-watering treats, we hope that you enjoyed all that the farm had to offer this fall.
If you haven’t had a chance to come up to the farm yet, you still have some time. There are just 10 days left before we say goodbye to another season and close this chapter for the year. We are open everyday until Oct 31st at 5pm.

We look forward to seeing you one (or two) last times.

Laura,
For the Davison Family
