Three More Sleeps

The closing of our doors after another season is drawing near, and we are counting down the days like a child anticipating Christmas. This is not because we will receive gifts or feast on a Turkey dinner, but rather because we made it! While this season certainly had its unplanned twists and turns, it was also filled with many joys.
We are grateful that we were able to welcome guests to our farm, for the sound of children’s laughter ringing out over the farmyard, for the sense of relief of seeing clear blue skies in September, and for the blessing of being able to share our crop with you. Now we are ready for a slower pace: a time to unwind, a time to reflect on the season, a time to ponder what worked and what did not.
We give thanks to God for the harvest as well as for our managers and staff that kept the shelves full, baked delicious treats, picked and packed the crops, maintained the grounds, took care of the animals, and drove the Johnny Popper Apple Train around and around until the last apple was picked and the pumpkin patch was bare. The list of tasks at our farm is endless and is amplified by the diversification of our business. This means a constant “juggling act” for all involved. The truth is we would not have it any other way! Being able to employ so many people and always having something for our hands to do is the lifestyle of our choice. Nevertheless, I do admit it is exhausting at times. Now winter is nearing, and before you know it we will be working out our plans for next year.
We would like to say a big THANK-YOU for supporting our family farm throughout our season. This year, more than ever, we felt the support from our local community; we are humbled and extremely grateful.
Please enjoy this short video of our amazing staff team. We simply could not be open without them.
This is not a “good–bye” but rather a “see you in the spring!”
Thanks again for your support,
Tamra Davison
